LITTLE PIANO VIRTUOSI COURSE

from 18th Septemebr 2010, Saturdays, 11am-12noon, room 1 and 2, at the BYMT

The Keyboard Department has been running a course of Saturday group activities classes for our young and budding pianists (age 6-11) since April 2010, following suggestions from its own teaching staff. These are classes with a difference: they are neither a piano playing lesson, nor an academic class!

Sociable iable and imaginative way of looking at the piano, the history and the stories behind music works, the inspiring creative lives of composers, the fun and the art of conquering this beautiful instrument, and the pleasure of playing with others and creating imaginative music together. This course is part of the extraordinary music life Bromley Youth Music Trust provides for all young people in the borough.

After a very successful first term, the course will continue running in September 2010. It brought enjoyment to all students and tutors involved.

This year the course will be split in two:

Newly-Hatched - to accommodate beginners
and
Young Flyers - to accommodate young advanced pianists

We accept applications from students age 6 - 11, of any standard of playing, as long as they already have started individual piano lessons!

The course starts again on Saturday, 18th September, from 11am till 12noon

Cost: £60/term (10 sessions)
