SIPCS  11-14 July 2019

BYMT is once again welcoming you to the BYMT Summer International Piano & Composition School (SIPCS) 2019, where musical talent and artistic inspiration are nurtured by the highest calibre of professional performers and teachers, in a warm, friendly and caring atmosphere where our tutorial team support the development of young and young-at-heart pianists.

This year we welcome entries from students of all ages and a wide level of ability: pianists from grade 2 up to concert performance standard can apply.

SIPCS is committed to identifying and supporting pianists to achieve their musical dreams. Here are some of the highlights of this year's course:

  1. The tutors' concert, one of the most inspirational, enlightening and umissable events, has been scheduled for the opening night on Thursday 11 July 2019.
  2. The students’ concerts have been extended this year, allowing more pupils to experience the concert stage and the satisfaction of performing to their peers, friends and family.
  3. As usual, we welcome daily observers as passive participants, and volunteers whose help is greatly needed and appreciated.
  4. Alongside the usual master classes and workshops, we will be offering daily individual piano lessons with a selection of tutors (via preliminary booking).
  5. We have also included new sessions on Jazz improvisation and performance under the expert guidance of the renowned jazz pianist composer and arranger, James Treweek.
  6. Scholarships are available on application.
