Summer Term 2020
Members will have access to digital copies of the term’s repertoire.
Video/Audio of each part will be available to help with learning and practice.
Video/Audio files of other parts will be available to sing along to and help practice.
A short weekly rehearsal will take place online (on Zoom) where members will sing warm-ups and short sections of repertoire. Some rehearsals will be sectionals, some will be full choir. Members will not need a zoom account, instead will be sent a web link to access rehearsals/sessions.
A tutorial on how to use zoom will be available.
If schools reopen rehearsals will resume at the usual time.
Depending on government guidance several options for performance opportunities are in place, including a potential holiday course at the end of July or August, or even rehearsals and performances at the beginning of September.
Please click the 'Apply Now' button above to sign-up.
BYMT is committed to ensuring that its resources are available to ALL. Therefore, instead of our usual termly fees, we would ask that you make a donation if you are in a position to do so.
There may be an additional charge should rehearsals / performance be possible at BYMT Centres ... more news as we get it!
Regular Offer (Hopefully from Autumn Term 2020)
Sing! Bromley is an adult community choir run by Stephanie Seeney. Open to all ages and all abilities, the choir sings a wide range of music, but focusses on popular music and showtunes. Over the last year, the choir have sung music such as Mr Blue Sky (ELO), an Oklahoma medley, Chicago the musical, Somebody to Love (Queen), Budapest (Ezra), and the Best of Broadway. The choir also sing some light classical pieces by composers such as Rutter and Chilcott.
We sing regular concerts at venues around the borough.
WHERE AND WHEN
The choir meets at BYMT Southborough Lane Bromley BR2 8AA during term time.
You can either come along on Tuesdays from 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
or Wednesdays from 10:00am – 11:30am.
Both choirs learn the same pieces and then join together in one performance.
There is no audition required for this choir nor is there a need to be able to read music. All we ask for is an enthusiasm to sing and a readiness to embrace the sociable atmosphere. Recordings are provided online for most pieces so that members can listen to their own parts at home.
The fee is £75.00 per term.
