Piano for Adult Beginners (PAB 1 & 2) are very popular, friendly classes for adults who used to, or have always wanted to learn to play the piano.
Music accompanies our busy lives. When we hear a favourite song, thoughts such as “I would like to play that”, or “Why did I stop lessons when I was young”, or “I always wanted to learn a musical instrument”, or even “I am so jealous of people who play” spring to mind.
If you have never had this chance before, or feel that you would like to enrich your skills and widen your knowledge, then PAB is for you.
After an initial assessment, the course will follow a tailored programme of suitable piano repertoire, gradually building music knowledge and awareness through listening and playing. There will be an introduction to music notation for the absolute beginner, but also work on technical skills, knowledge of styles, harmony and accompaniment, rhythmical awareness, ensemble and solo performance work.
