One Voice Song Bank

The songs on this page are the result of a Youth Music funded, SEND song writing project called One Voice which was delivered by BYMT in 2019. The project worked with 286 Bromley children and aimed to deliver inspiring singing, song writing and performance experiences for children with SEND, develop new resources, deliver training and establish a network for SEND teachers.

Evaluation from Sound Connections demonstrated that the project had developed the children’s musical skills, increased their self-confidence and team working, and increased the self-confidence and ability of non-specialist SEND staff to deliver music education.

How you can use these songs at your school

Although the songs were written in partnership with SEND settings, often with specific interests in mind, they are also suited to KS1 and KS2 mainstream classes. If they are not quite right for your class, change the words, adapt them as you see fit!

Be Brave Little Penguin

The next group of songs formed part of an Inspire event for the launch of the One Voice Song writing project. They were written to be performed alongside a reading of the book Be Brave Little Penguin by Giles Andreae.
